Applied Essbase & Advanced Essbase Workshops cover the role of Essbase in the organization and how it fits in the IT framework. Next, we establish the basic vocabulary and multidimensional concepts you will need to begin working with Essbase. In doing this review of the concepts, we introduce you to the tools used in Essbase development.
ASO/MDX is for companies that are planning to or are already using Aggregate Storage Option (ASO), this class delves deep into ASO and MDX in order to familiarize customers with the capabilities and limitations of ASO databases. Usually sold as an add-on 1 day to the Applied Workshop class, much of the class is organized so that people familiar with Block Storage can quickly convert that knowledge into working with ASO databases.
Analytic Integration Services AIS/EIS is becoming a more integral part of solutions in companies where data staging areas have been setup. In System 9, Integration Services is offered as part of the base Analytic Services product so all new customers of Essbase will have this automatically. This course is designed to help developers push metadata and data from relational databases to Essbase using EIS.
Essbase Upgrade course has been designed to bring developers up to speed on all the new features and functionality that has been added to System 9 for Essbase (called Analytic Services in System 9).
Essbase Power-User course is geared toward users of Essbase and the Excel Add-In and / or Smart View. The goal on the first day is to enable students to understand more about the possibilities of using Essbase for analysis and building new analytical models.
