This course provides training in topics related to the tasks performed by an Oracle BI Server Architect. It is intended for individuals on the implementation team whose major role is to build and modify, and administer data models and metadata for Oracle BI.
Students participating in this course will:
- Build the Physical model, the Business Model, and Presentation layers of repository
- Build simple and calculated measures for a fact table
- Create dimension hierarchies and level-based measures
- Model aggregate tables to speed query processing
- Model partitions and fragments to improve application performance and usability
- Use variables to streamline administrative tasks and modify metadata content dynamically
- Use time series functions to support historical time comparison analyses
- Apply cache management techniques to maintain and enhance query performance
- Set up query logging for testing and debugging
