To capture the JD Edwards data from 6 different JDE sources generated by customers in near real-time, integrate, prepare, model, and make it to be available for visualization in OBIEE.
The company evaluated many consulting companies but selected KPI Partners because of KPI's expertise in both Business Intelligence Applications and JD Edwards. In addition, KPI proposed a team with 100% offshore team resources to minimize cost and risk for the customer.
Implementation and customization of BI Apps 7.9.6.4 Financials module. Also implemented some tables from Procurement & Spend and Fixed Assets. Integrated the data from 6 different JDE instances on DAC using MS SQL Server as the Warehouse Database. KPI optimized the performance of Full load. Initially, the load was running for 4 days and KPI brought it down to around 5 hours.
The client had requirements of many complex customizations like multiple Calendar design, multiple Exchange rates, Fixed Assets customization, Stored Procedures, etc., Implemented multiple complex aggregate tables to handle huge data volume coming from all the 6 JDE Sources. Handling 54 Flex fields where BI Apps support only 30 Flex fields, Implemented many calculated measures at the Database level.
On top of all these customizations, KPI delivered around 200 plus pure custom OBIEE reports based on the customer requirements on a consolidated warehouse consisting of 6 JDE instances data.
The client runs daily incremental loads and weekly Full loads on a live transactional system. KPI upgraded the analytics from OBIEE 11G to OBIEE 12C and currently supporting/maintaining both versions.
