The client implemented the Oracle Business Inelegance application in 2015. A Service order has been rendered by KPI Partners (Vender) to establish maintenance and support of the existing Oracle Business Intelligence and Analytics environment for the client from Nov 2016 to date.
Selection Process
The company evaluated many consulting companies but selected KPI Partners because of KPI's expertise in OBIA and projects we have delivered in the energy industry. In addition, KPI proposed a team with 100% offshore team resources to minimize cost and risk for the customer.
What KPI Delivered

KPI has delivered nightly support on load monitoring and fixes on load failures, which created a robust Data Warehouse platform for the client to build analytical new reports and meet customer expectations.

KPI identified data gaps caused due to bad ETL runs and BI Configurations in the past and loaded the necessary historical data by configuring correct values in BI Application configuration Manager (BIACM).

We have reduced the ETL load time by analyzing the load plan and aliening facts group and dimensions group dependency and creating required indexes and partitions on DW tables.

Upgraded OBIEE11g to OBIEE12c, which fixed a few product issues and added OBIEE Visual analyzer tool to the BI environment for ad-hoc user analysis.

KPI ensured service support during the Central time zone from offshore to meet SLA-on priority tickets.

KPI provided extended support by developing new custom modules for Financial, Project, Gas production Forecast, and Budget data load into BI DW.
Business Benefits
ETL daily load time was reduced from 4 hours to 2 hours. BIACM configuration changes have made data accurate as per business user needs, and it has also helped and encouraged teams to further deep dive into the data. The client also experienced a reduction in the average time taken to resolve ETL failures and production incidents. Lastly, KPI addressed integrity failures and fixed load issues and improved OBIEE report usages, which help clients' business grow.
