Upgrade the Oracle BI Apps 7.9.6.X to Oracle BI Apps 11.1.10.1. Migrate ETL code from Informatica to ODI and upgrade OBIEE 11g to 12c

Selection Process

The company evaluated many consulting companies but selected KPI Partners because of KPI's expertise in BI APPS, Informatica, ODI, and OBIEE. In addition, KPI proposed a team with 100% offshore team resources to minimize cost and risk for the customer. 

What KPI Delivered

KPI proposed Upgradation of Oracle BI Apps 7.9.6.4 (Informatica version) to Oracle BI Apps 11.1.10.1 (ODI Version) from multiple source systems like PSFT, Primavera, SQL Server, and flat-files. Upgradation has been done on Oracle Financials, Project and Supply Chain, and HR Analytics.

KPI Partners installed and configured BI Apps 11.1.1.10.1. Converted 500+ mappings from Informatica to ODI which includes ROV and other custom mappings. Customized the load plan in an optimal way to increase the ELT load performance. Enabled usage tracking and email configuration in ODI for load notifications.

Upgraded OBIEE 11g to 12c and configured the application security as it was in OBIEE 11g. More than 600 reports were validated and updated the data model in RPD as per changes in the new BI Apps version. Created real-time BI publisher reports and development of ELT mappings and reports for Quality custom modules.

Business Benefits

Upgraded to the latest Oracle BI Apps version with enhanced content. Cost reduction by moving to ODI and giving up on the Transformation Server in Informatica. No need of maintaining a separate Monitoring tool like DAC since ODI has its own inbuilt system to monitor the loads.
