Wow! Even though we always believed in the company's mission, it’s been a roller coaster ride.

 

Sid Goel and Kusal Swarnakar are co‑founders partner at KPI. Both came from a product background, having worked at both, Siebel systems and Cognos in Silicon valley. Fifteen years ago, KPI was founded in Newark, CA. When We started a company, especially one that sells Oracle services and our pre-built solutions, is far from being easy. Of course, there’s a part of luck we met when we were both at Siebel in Silicon valley. We both have been in the analytics space for a long time and were brought here from the technology space.

 

Another piece of luck occurred when Kusal Swarnakar called Sid Goel to know if he knew any experts in the field to work with Kusal and he explained his start-up plan to his surprise, Sid was also planning to start his own company, and then Kusal offered him a partnership and they said why not, let’s do it and it’s been 15 years since we are still working together.

 

We've seen a lot of different technologies and that is what we present to our customers, In terms of highlights of who KPI is, one of the big highlights is being recognized by Gartner is the ultimate honor. So that has happened to us, not once, not twice, but three times and with the latest update from Gartner, we are still on the list of the top data analytics in the world and that's a testament to all the adequate recruiting.

Our mission statement is how customers transform to additional automation sites for services and accelerators or products that will enable better business processes, and decision making in predictive analysis while being the employer of choice for technologists and business analysts.

Along the way, KPI Partners have developed lasting relationships both with our clients and partners, and our company has grown significantly, almost doubling our strength, even in the face of trying challenges like the pandemic. We’re still as committed to our mission now as back in 2006, and we’re getting better at it every day. We have had several transformations in our history, which have helped build the company into what it is today.

On top of that, we have been lucky enough to work with awesome partners. We don’t like to use the word “client” to describe them as they are much more than that. Not only did they support us developed our pre-built solutions but they have also been proactive in providing feedback to improve our solutions. Offering awesome and honest customer service to awesome and honest clients (ahem, partners) is a great part of the reason KPI Partners has been growing steadily since the very beginning. That’s part of the company’s deep core values and we can assure you this is not going to change.

 

So where are we now? Well, we are not a “startup” anymore. We have a proven business model, great product and range of services, great clients (double ahem, partners), employees, providers, and the list goes on and on. We even don’t do much promotion as new clients are coming on board naturally thanks to word of mouth. In other words, we are here to stay!

 

Our vision for the next 15 years is to create even tighter relationships with our best clients. We don’t want 100000 clients like some popular start-ups. We are more like your local friendly restaurant where everybody knows your name and you are guaranteed that you will be treated like a VIP–not someone at a McDonald’s drive-through.

 

While it has undoubtedly been hard work, we are grateful for the encouragement and recognition that we have received from our clients and within this industry. We were honored to have named no less than 3 times in Gartner’s 2020, 2019, and 2015 Market Guide for AI and Data Analytics Service Providers.

 

When Sid and Kusal set out on this journey with headquarters in Newark, CA, they had high hopes for KPI’s ability to penetrate cutting-edge technologies for the Big Data and Analytics industry and expand their scope to reach both national and international markets.

Over the years KPI has expanded its size, services, and headquarters. As we celebrate 15 years of dedication and hard work that have resulted in the meeting – and often exceeding – our goals, KPI reflects on some of the challenges we faced and lessons learned along the way.

 

Our company has been especially fortunate during the pandemic as we’ve grown significantly and almost doubled the strength. We’ve added many new clients from various industries and have many exciting leads for future partnerships.

 

We’ve also added new sales team members to help all new accounts. As our team grows, so does our knowledge and expertise. We regularly hold each other accountable for staying up to date on all the latest trends in our industry. And we get together every month in Gurukul and AHM to share what we’ve learned and plan how to best use that information to help our clients.

 

Helping Our Clients in Unusual Times

It’s no secret that the COVID-19 pandemic has been hard on businesses. That’s why back when all this started, we vowed to support our clients in any way we could. And we have fulfilled this vow by being flexible, easy to reach, and proactive.

Being flexible with our clients took many forms. First, we worked with our clients to adapt our services to their shifting needs. Some clients needed to scale back their services for financial reasons or stop all services temporarily. And we worked with them to adjust their service packages accordingly.

 

For other clients, we adapted the strategy for certain services. For example, we started posting valuable content related to the pandemic on social media when it made sense for a client’s industry. We also helped clients adjust the hours and COVID information on their citations to ensure the information was up to date.

 

In all this adapting, we made it a point to be easy to reach for clients. This normally is one of our core competencies, but we were always willing to go above and beyond when our clients needed something done right away.

 

We did all this because we genuinely care about our clients and we’re happy to report our clients were able to stay afloat during the shutdowns, and we hope our efforts contributed to helping their businesses in some way.

 

Wait – There’s More to Celebrate! As we recognize our 15th anniversary, we’re also celebrating a new event in KPI’s history. What has our company been up to this past year? We’re glad you asked!  We’re proud to share that our team won the award for “Great Place to Work two times in a row”.
