KPI Partners Let's Talk

Microsoft Azure | Analytics on Azure

Analytics on Azure

One governed analytics foundation, proven before the business depends on it.

KPI Partners moves enterprise data warehouses, data platforms and business intelligence (BI) onto Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks and Power BI with accelerator-led conversion, full history and performance proven under load. Every function decides from the same numbers, and your next artificial intelligence (AI) use case starts on data the business already trusts.

Enterprise sources flow into Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks on Azure, governed by Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Entra ID and Unity Catalog, and serve Power BI and AI on the same data. A different path

Modernize Analytics on Azure Without Starting Over

Same Microsoft platform, sequenced around the numbers your business already relies on.

The usual path

  • Reports rebuilt one by one, including the ones nobody opens
  • History left behind in the legacy warehouse
  • Performance discovered by users after go-live
  • Governance added once the platform is already live
  • AI pilots built on data the business has not signed off

With KPI Partners on Azure

  • Rationalize first, then rebuild only what the business uses
  • Carry full history into the new model, validated before cutover
  • Prove pipelines under expected and peak load before go-live
  • Govern from day one with Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Entra ID and Unity Catalog
  • One governed semantic layer, ready for Copilot and agents

What we deliver

Four Ways We Deliver Analytics on Azure

Common starting points that adapt to each enterprise. Most programs combine more than one.

Data warehouse and platform migration

Move Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, Azure Synapse and Informatica estates to Microsoft Fabric or Azure Databricks, with accelerator-led conversion and side-by-side validation.

Proven in: Beverage manufacturing, insurance

Gen-AI Based Data Platform Migration Accelerator

How We Engage on Analytics on Azure

Fixed scope at the start of every engagement, so you prove value before you scale.

Assessment

Readiness Assessment

Estate inventory, workload fit across Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks, and a business case.

  • Workload inventory and dependencies
  • Target architecture and roadmap
  • Total cost of ownership (TCO) and business case
First release

Proof of Value

One use case delivered on your own data before you commit to the full program.

  • Working pipelines and semantic model
  • Results validated against source
  • Go-forward plan and sizing
Phased waves

Migration Factory

Accelerator-led migration in waves, each validated side by side before cutover.

  • Converted pipelines, models and reports
  • Reconciliation and performance reports
  • Cutover and hypercare plan
Ongoing managed service

Run and Optimize

Operate, govern and tune the platform once the business depends on it.

  • Monitoring, alerts and runbooks
  • Capacity and cost optimization
  • Governance with Microsoft Purview

Why KPI Partners

Why Enterprises Choose KPI Partners for Analytics on Azure

Proven before go-live

Load, stress and endurance testing, reconciliation against source and change board sign-off happen before the business depends on the platform.

Governed from day one

Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Entra ID, Unity Catalog and Azure Policy are part of every build, not a later phase.

Ready for AI on the same data

Governed semantic models become trusted context for Copilot, Fabric data agents and DomainIQ Agents, pre-built or custom-built for your use case.

How Every Engagement Runs

The same six stages on every program, aligned to the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework and Azure Well-Architected Framework.

  1. 1
    Assess

Estate inventory, dependencies, readiness and a business case for every workload.

  2. 2
    Design

Reference architecture, landing zone and security design aligned to Microsoft guidance.

  3. 3
    Prove

A proof of concept on your own data, with design review gates before the build.

  4. 4
    Build

Accelerator-led conversion, metadata-driven pipelines and continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) from Dev to Production.

  5. 5
    Validate

Reconciliation against source, load and endurance testing, and user acceptance before cutover.

  6. 6
    Operate

Runbooks, monitoring, governance and skilling, so your team runs the platform with confidence.

FAQ

Questions Buyers Ask About Analytics on Azure

Which Microsoft Azure analytics services does KPI Partners deliver on?

We deliver on Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, lakehouses, warehouses, Data Pipelines and notebooks), Azure Databricks with Unity Catalog, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure SQL Database and Power BI, governed with Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Entra ID and Azure Policy. The right mix depends on your workloads and your existing estate.

Should we choose Microsoft Fabric or Azure Databricks?

It depends on your workloads, skills and current investments. KPI Partners delivers on both and recommends the right fit for each workload during the readiness assessment. The two can also run side by side, for example with OneLake shortcuts or Fabric mirroring.

Can we keep our historical data when we migrate?

Yes. History is planned from the start: Surrogate key strategies, natural-key alignment and partition-wise merges carry long-term history into the new model, and duplicate and key checks validate it before cutover.

What happens to the reports we already have?

We start with rationalization, so the business decides which reports to keep before anything is rebuilt. Surviving content is converted with the Gen-AI Based BI Modernization Accelerator and redesigned on Power BI semantic models, with row-level and object-level security carried over.

How does modernized analytics prepare us for AI?

The business definitions modeled during modernization become governed context for Microsoft 365 Copilot, Fabric data agents and Foundry agents. KPI Partners can then add DomainIQ Agents, pre-built or custom-built for your use case, on the same governed data.

How do we get started?

Most programs start with a readiness assessment or a proof of value on your own data. KPI Partners offers are listed on Azure Marketplace, and eligible engagements may qualify for Microsoft funding such as End Customer Investment Funds (ECIF).
