Using Packaged ERP Analytics To Determine Inventory Variance Between Forecast & Actual

Headquartered in the United Kingdom, GE Healthcare is a $17 billion unit of General Electric Company (NYSE: GE). Worldwide, GE Healthcare employs more than 46,000 people committed to serving healthcare professionals and their patients in more than 100 countries. GE’s expertise in medical imaging and information technologies, medical diagnostics, patient monitoring systems, performance improvement, drug discovery, and biopharmaceutical manufacturing technologies is helping clinicians around the world re-imagine new ways to predict, diagnose, inform and treat disease.

KPI Partners completed a pilot project to deploy Supply Chain Analytics.  The quick start program was up-and-running in 5 weeks with Oracle Supply Chain Analytics loaded from Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS).   Overcoming performance issues with extremely large data volumes was part of the success criteria for the project.   The KPI team was able to resolved performance issues with a 200 million row database table sourced from Oracle E-Business Suite table.  The team also worked with Oracle Engineering to optimize the process of loading data into a Teradata database.

The Supply Chain Analytics application provides GE Healthcare better visibility into inventory and helps users determine variance between forecast and actual inventory levels.
